Pieter Ceizer is a graphic and mostly typographical designer and artist, known for his clothing label Pimpalicious Living.
He describes his work as “Typofunk”. Typofunk is nothing less than a world of raw empowerment which Ceizer has been building with his typography for several years now. In his world there’s no time for routine and melancholy. It’s all about funk, jazz, and success. If you want to read a philosophical message into his complex letterdrawings, it could be the philosophy of the life artist who knows how to play the game of life. His work provocatively interweaves word, color and image, giving you the feeling that a world of opportunities is awaiting you.
The graffiti scene of Amsterdamn was the soil of Ceizer’s creative carreer. From the age of eleven he was inspired by the murals on the old museumplein, where street artist breathed life into the halfpipes. Shortly after that he took to the streets to make a name for his alter-ego Ceizer.
He enrolled at the academy of arts in The Hague. After three tumultueus years he felt the need to leave the academy behind. Ceizer has been a fulltime typographical artist and entrepreneur ever since.
